Hurricane Relief

Oddly enough, it's been kinda difficult figuring out how to help tangibly in relief efforts for areas affected by Hurricane Ike.

Element would like to donate bottled water or other tangible needs -- not just money.

Does anyone know of any church or charity or mission agency in the Nashville area collecting tangible goods for delivery to hurricane impacted areas?

We wanna give stuff. Just can't figure out where to do it.

Brother Jared,

I have contacts there who are doing things to help the community but do not know anyone in the Nashville area who is involved. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me for more information via:

Peace to you brother,

I just put a post up at Semicolon about the Evangelical Free Church response to Ike. There are links to the cirsis response webpage, and there you can find a list of needed tools and materials and email addresses for those involved in the crisis response. I have seen the results of the work of these teams in my neighbors'and church members' homes. I think if you had some "stuff" you wanted to donate, the could probably find a way to get it to the right place.
