Sugar, We're Goin' Down Linking

Hope your weekend was splendtastic. Here's some quality linkage to get your week started off right . . .

Bill Kinnon highlights Douglas Groothuis on the Willow Creek stuff.

5 Kinds of Christians?
(HT: In the Clearing)

Another reason to appreciate Mark Driscoll.

The iMonk on Who's The Next Billy Graham?
(I'm not sure we can even know such a thing except in retrospect.)

J.D. Hatfield on the kingdom as Inverse Universe. (HT: Transforming Sermons)
(Sounds like a counter-culture to me! :-)

Finally, Chanda Canup on The Right Thing.

Happy surfing!

Wow. Me? Really? I think I just became an avid reader of the gospel-driven church:)

Travis said...

Nope, nope, you've got it all wrong, J. It's a clash of cultures. ;)

Travis said...

Here. See?

You don't want to claim Christianity is like that, do you? ;)

Jared said...

Well, no, but he even talking about the Church? I didn't see any reference to a kingdom ethos in there.

Applying the life of, say, the Sermon on the Mount to the culture of the kingdom and reading that into Potter's assertions would be to agree that living out the Sermon makes no real difference. I don't think either one of us would agree with that.

Travis said...

Exactly, Jared! You're making my case (that the Kingdom shouldn't be called "counter-cultural") for me! :D

Thanks, man! 'ppreciate it! ;)
