Your Jesus is Too Safe is a book worth reading (and I read a lot of books). I can tell it affected me by the number of pages on which I have bent a corner to mark something meaningful to me. (For those not familiar with it, the book offers 12 aspect of Jesus.) In Jesus the Sacrifice, for example, I underlined:
Jesus was God who became man. Jesus was a king who served ... a shepherd who became a sheep ... a judge who took the punishment. And now a priest who not only offers a sacrifice, but a priest who becomes the sacrifice.
