Woe to You When All Men Speak Well of You

A healthy dose of being criticized, even hated, is honorable if they're criticizing or hating you because of your Jesus-fixation and gospel-stubbornness.

Hahaha. What a thing to notice, dad.
I also see some MacArthur comm.'s over his shoulder to the right.

Probably some assistant's office. :-)

On the video:
I just need to find some time to sit and down get it on the computer, edited, and all that. Probably this weekend.
Grace's award thingy and Macy's piano performance at talent show will both be on there. I'll email everybody the link.

We should be willing to be hated for the sake of Christ's name-- with the understanding that human arrogance is, logically speaking, incompatible with proclaiming the truth of the Gospel. I write *logically speaking,* because in our wretched sinfulness, we are not always logical... understanding and truly accepting the Gospel should *always* lead to humility.

However, with humility, we can and should openly proclaim that Christ is the only way of salvation. The two are possible, and needed (humility *and* the proclamation of Christ's exclusivity), because we know that we did not come to Christ through our own wisdom, insight, or power, but through God's sovereign drawing of ourselves to Him!

Blessings Jerod, I ran across your video today when researching God's Word, about standing firm for the Lord. I was encouraged and blessed that you understand that persecution comes with obedience to Christ. My husband and I left the Catholic church 30 years ago to follow Christ and we were hurt deeply by the rejection of our familes. When we were in sin and superficial, they liked us. Once we began to love to talk about the Bible and the Lord, they began treating us though we had lepracy. I am 57 years old and rest in knowing that I would rather be hated by the world and loved by Christ, than loved by the world and separated from Him. Please keep preaching the Word in season and out of season, let no one intimidate you into "being careful" to please men. God's blessing is the comfort we have in knowing that our friend and God is the creator of the universe. Whom else would we need!!!! A follower of Jesus Christ, Gwendolyn
