Tim Keller: "Gospel-Centered Ministry"

One of the best gospel-centered preachers gives one of the best (if not the best) gospel-centered messages on gospel-centered ministry.

I've mentioned it before. It's one of my faves. If you haven't heard it (or want to hear it again), here it is:

Thanks Jared - I just listened to the whole message. (I'm not sure if I had heard it before, but I've heard many parts of it in other Keller messages).

Suffice it to say - its a "definitive" message on the subject....absolutely tremendous.

At the 35 minute mark, Keller launches into Jesus being the "new and better" Adam, Joseph, David, etc. If people can't listen to the whole message, they should tap in at that part - it is so logical and yet so transformational in the point being made - "the Bible is about Jesus, not about you" - it really is that simple.

I often have to warn myself to stop being such a Keller fan-boy - it's not easy.

Hi Jared. Two things:

1) I'm a regular reader of your blog and I really appreciate your ministry and thoughts. Thanks and keep it up!

2) In this lecture Keller refers Sinclair Ferguson's Preaching Christ From The Old Testament as a great piece on Christocentric preaching. I discovered that Proctor Trust has released it as a free download here.

Sorry, that would be *Proclamation Trust - my mind must have been elsewhere.

Anon, if you're in Dallas area, you should check out The Village Church pastored by Matt Chandler.

Chandler doesn't "sound" like Keller, but he's very gospel-centered. One of the best guys out there.
