This is Not a Political Post

It is about perception and reality.

FYI, whether it matters to you or not:

Between 2000 and 2004, Barack and Michelle Obama gave less than 1% of their income to charity.
It was 5% in 2005, 6% in 2006.

In 2006, Dick and Lynne Cheney gave 78% of their income to charity. (That's not a misprint.)

One is of course a prophet of change and peace; the other is a Grinch-demon warlord thirsty for blood and oil and the bones of small children.
Or something.

    By way of comparison, Hillary Clinton finally released her 2000-07 tax returns, and of the $109 million that she and Bill made over that period, they gave about 10% to charity.
