Oh Man, Brilliant Question!

Deep down in the meta of the iMonk's post on Christless preaching, a commenter named Anna A. asks, "What do we, in the pew, do about this?"

Now that's a great question!

I haven't actually seen anyone address this (although my corner of the God-blogosphere is small so I'm not saying nobody has). All of us nerd-types are talking about the problem and a lot of us are trying to correct it by a) calling fellow pastors to preach gospel-driven messages and b) preaching gospel-driven messages ourselves, but if you're Joe or Jane Congregant, what do you do? What can you do about this problem?

A big post is coming on this subject . . . tomorrow.

Attend a church that does offer gospel-driven messages.

Well, that'd be in there, but it's not quite that simple, as one who's been there and has actually done that. :-)

Thanks for drawing our attention to this. I'll have to think about this one for a while.
