A small church up the street from me has a sign I can't figure out--that is, I have a guess, but still the sign doesn't work.

"Sin begins when attend end's"

What?

I think it is great.
I believe it is something Jesus would have said. The Churuch is a place for hurting people. It is a place to find healing. It is a place to find peace, love, hope, acceptance, comefort that the world doesn't offer. So, yes this sign is peferct. May the church help the hurting. I don't know how many hurting people will go to church though. I believe we as Christians must get out of the pews, get out of our comfort zones, and use the spiritual gifts that God has give us and minister to those who are hurting. Those who need Jesus Christ! We must do real ministry. Will we do it? It is going to be up to our generation (Xer's, and down). We have a calling like never before. We must live up to it. May we make a difference one person at a time. Discipleship!! Great post once again brother. Keep it up!

Hey, Kinney. I totally agree that the Church should exist to bring hope and healing to people who are hurting.

The "laughs" from this post lay in the unfortunate way the church sign is phrased. I realize they mean to say "We are a church that loves people are in pain." But the way they articulated that inadvertently says "We love to cause people pain." :-)

Great sign, and unfortunately so true.

This sign (I think the first in Holy Observer history) was actually based on a real sign, which I discussed here.
