Shouldn't our core values be love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control? (Gal. 5:22-23a) What more do we need?Lee Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16900043206072686022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-538825134834187144.post-37969454880494850982008-01-08T13:43:00.000-05:002008-01-08T13:43:00.000-05:00I have never really understood the point of a miss...I have never really understood the point of a mission statement. It seems to be a practice in engrandizing and abstracting the point of an enterprise whether the enterprise is a newspaper or a church. People generally don't keep them in mind or think about them at all. I think this is the biggest problem. The church needs to keep things in mind like the Bible and what it says. If there ever was a mission statement for the church I think Jesus said it best.

Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, strength, and soul. Not necessarily in terms of how the culture (Christian and non-Christian) views excellence, but in terms of doing what the church is supposed to do - proclaim the Gospel.Fred Shopehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05993039629949819266noreply@blogger.com
